El Camino del Cid stars in TourSpain's sustainable travel video

Viajes sin Huella Camino del Cid Turespaña

Turespaña's Sustainable Tourism microsite, within the official website Spain.info, dedicates one of its videos to the Camino del Cid as an example of sustainable travel.

With this microsite, the Spanish Tourism Institute wants to reinforce the country's positioning as a destination committed to sustainability and gives visibility to new ways of travelling that seek a positive impact on local communities.

The video, entitled Viajes sin Huella, una experiencia de turismo sostenible en España, available in the section Stories for a better planet, is set in the Gallocanta ring, between the lagoons of the same name and the medieval town of Daroca. To see the video, click here.

The promotion of the Camino del Cid also responds to the growing interest of foreign tourists in sustainable travel experiences far removed from the cliché of mass tourism. In this context, cycle tourism is consolidating as one of the most promising forms of travel, combining exercise, contact with nature, historical and artistic heritage, a personal and equitable approach to local culture and its inhabitants, and as a direct consequence, a boost to local economies.
